Toria Newman - Author 🖌️
Toria has Cerebral Palsy and gets around in her Ferrari wheelchair. She has been a writer for at least forty years. During the 1980’s, she wrote and produced several plays and produced musical events. She also worked as a contributing journalist for a local newspaper. Then in the 1990’s, Toria ran her own secretarial business and attended Waikato University to learn the Spanish language. Five years later, she was capped, earning a Honors Degree in the Spanish Language and in History. Since 2017, she has written and published four books. She is at present, working on her next novel.

An unexpected journey
Robbie is in danger. She has been threatened with violence by her sister’s boyfriend. So, she visits a friend in another city. While out with her own boyfriend, Robbie was attacked By a robber who only wanted her purse. She was stabbed and for some days, her life was held in the balance. So begins her unexpected journey.
Who murdered Joel?
In this story, Robbie assists the Police in discovering who murdered her good friend Joel. Her family and friends are her closest allies, as they gather round to support her when she learns the terrible truth affecting so many. She sees God’s handiwork in the lives of others and wonders if this could be for her too.
The Journey Begins
Robbie Mount is a young woman who has Cerebral Palsy. She is involved in a tragic accident, and while she is unconscious, she visits Heaven. There, she is shown many things about her life that will empower her for the future. The Chrysalis is the story of Robbie’s Journey from a seemingly trapped existence, to becoming like a beautiful emerging butterfly with great possibilities. She begins to explore outside her comfort zone, looking to see where she might fit in this crazy world. Meanwhile, others were observing her as well, seeing her potential. They saw that she possessed some unique talent and with a little encouragement, the world and all its treasures could open up to her.

What is Toria up to?
Toria is working on three books. Firstly, there is a novel, set in the South Island of New Zealand. She is also working on a children’s book, hopefully with an illustrator. Toria is also planning to tell her own story through the eyes of one of her characters

Because she had Cerebral palsy and only uses her thumb to type, Toria finds it easiest to work on an iPad,
How does Toria get around?
Toria drives everywhere in her wheelchair called her Ferrari. It has a lift which helps her to reach high shelves and talk on the same level as others. The Ferrari also has personalized plates and artwork mudguards.

Meet Jeeves, Toria’s Butler
Jeeves was found at a property, sitting in a cardboard box. He was only about three months old. So, he came to live with Toria. He is now the Meet and Greet Manager and is loved by everyone who visits. He is a good friend and takes good care of his Toria as if he was a special angel from God. and Jeeves have a little friend called Sparky, who just turned up and moved in,
Benny’s Story
Benny was a stray kitten who just appeared and made himself at home with Toria. He was very interested in everything she did. Toria and Benny were very close. But one day he became very ill and died. He is greatly missed. Yet Toria knows that he will be in the front row of the welcoming committee when she passes through the pearly gates.
